Tis the season for the blossom and I just got my film back from the lab today. I think I often jump the gun in determining which pictures are worthwhile on the roll and which are just good. I am just so excited to see the results that everything tends to look very interesting to me on this first viewing. This picture may be no exception. I find it has an oddity which draws me in and holds my attention just a bit longer than some other frames on the roll. And it is for this reason that I decided to post this one. I may realize tomorrow that I have been duped by my excitement to share and decide that this is not at all interesting. At the moment however, I like it. So here it is world...make of it what you will.

And if you are curious about the color, this was another of the 13 year expired velvia 50 rolls, cross processed. I love shooting this film and will be sad to see it run out.

Playing with extension tubes. I have no idea what kind of flower this is, but I love the little tube-like things at the base of the stamen.

Here is the Zeiss interperatation of the pinhole test shot (see it here if interested). Not much of a contest until you factor in cost; $7 pinhole lens vs. $700 Zeiss prime. Still...you get what you pay for I guess.
The color tone comes from the ND filter. I usually correct for it in the scan, but I thought it added to this shot so left it in.

It's nice when you go out just to test a new piece of equipment and end up finding something you really like.
